2023 brought a lot of healing, insight, and perspective to my work. 2022 was such a challenging year for me, I had to take stock of the life I was creating, and what direction I wanted it to go.
With 2024 already a month in, I am feeling really excited about how business has grown and how I can strive ahead with it.
Currently I’m working on a 12-piece collection of oil paintings for a new project I’ve named “Near & Far: Roadtripping for Great Canadian Landscapes.” Each birchwood panel (gallery style) is 8 x 8 inches, prepped with 3-layers of black gesso, and then painted with bold and textured landscapes:

These are the first three completed paintings of the collection: Gatineau, Quebec, and Nawautin Nature Sanctuary, Lake Ontario. Next I am working on some Lake Superior art. Every painting is from a photograph of my own, from a variety of roadtrips I have taken over the years.
This year I expect to have my art on display at the Cobourg Waterfront Festival in July, and at St.Mark’s Christmas Market in November. Any other events I will let you know as the months unfold before us…
