Today was a glorious day. I woke up before the sun, with a crescent moon in view. Spend the morning with the windows open: cleaning, purging and organizing house. Went for a beach stroll in the afternoon, which re-energized me for an afternoon of painting.
I can finally say I’m satisfied with this one, which I am applying for my first Juried Show:
It needs a name! Any suggestions? It is inspired from a photo I took one autumn morning out on the pier. The waters were sooo choppy and the sky was so moody, but the sun rays were incredible.
I also touched up the North West Territories painting, which had been sitting on my studio shelf bugging me since December. I like it much more now:
This will be sent to the Campbellford Library in May, with a few of my other Canadian Landscapes.
Last weekend I finished the big Ontario Landscape (it still needs a few minor touch ups):
It will be going in the July show, with the other Lake Ontario paintings I’m working on.
And now onto the paperwork…
