Work In Progress…

This blog will be short and sweet… just sharing a collection of photos of the “works in progress” over the last week (since the last blog). I am loving how some of these are taking shape, and SO excited to share them on July 28th to the public! I hope you can be there…

This is Monk’s Cove. A lovely little place of Solitude on Lake Ontario. It was fenced off last year, due to flooding eroding the rocky cliffs. This tree has been “suspended” off the cliff for as long as I can remember. One day, perhaps sooner than later, it is going to collapse into the lake. As much as I have struggled with this painting (I fixed the tree but need to work on the landscape around it), it is one I have wanted to do for a very long time, and this project “HOME” seemed like the perfect opportunity. You can see the finished painting in person on the 28th!

Killarney Provincial Park! This is another slow bunch of “minis” (my 8×10 inch gallery canvases). I started these after my trip to Killarney (Georgian Bay, Northern Ontario) last August. We are coming up to a year now and they still are not finished?! It’s killing me… but I want them to be great and just can’t rush the process, even though the pressure is on now!

These three are so close to complete! Tomorrow I hope to wrap the ends up on these ones. I feel myself moving into more “surreal” landscapes with this collection, and am excited to start a new series after this show is complete. Perhaps my landscapes will become a bit more “dream like”…

OTHER DETAILS

Jennifer Trefiak has been working hard too, wrapping up her (first ever!) collection of oil paintings. She will have them at the show along with a few acrylic paintings and her “Inks.”

I like to let people know that our shows always have something for every budget! Originals range from $50 – $600. We also have cards, prints, and I will be taking orders for my 2019 Calendar “Canada: The Provinces and Territories.”

I’m also giving away these new pins with every purchase:

(or selling them for $2 each)

Now back to the studio!
