Adventures in Uxbridge

I love random adventures; and this was one of them. We went to Uxbridge for my kid, to attend “Day Out With Thomas”… but happening down the road was “Art In The Park” and I knew one of my favourite artists would be there.

First of all, if you have not been to Uxbridge, you should check it out. Such a quaint little town, with sweet little shops, and lovely historical buildings. They seem to have ongoing community events, farmer’s market, and the York-Durham-Heritage-Railway has one-of-a-kind entertainment (High Tea with Lucy Maude Montgomery in September, and The Polar Express Train Ride in November, are just two examples).

Art In The Park was incredible. Over a hundred artists, a few food vendors (one ice-cream, one coffee, one fish and chips), a magician, and two play grounds. Elgin Park is beautiful, with lots of trees/shade, and a river running behind it. The weather seemed to co-operate too!
