Art | Summer 2018

HOME: A COLLECTION OF ONTARIO LANDSCAPES

Our annual summer show will be happening at St.Mark’s Church in Port Hope from 12:30-4:30 PM on Saturday, July 28th.

Jennifer Trefiak will have a new collection of oil paintings, none of which have been displayed publicly before! She will also have her collection of “inks” for sale. Some acrylics will be included in this show as well. Jennifer’s emphasis is on Northumberland County, and some Ontario Provincial Parks. Here’s a sneak peak of Jennifer’s (oil painting) works in progress:

I will be showing a collection of acrylic paintings I have been working on since summer 2017. All Ontario landscapes, a few of my home-front (Cobourg Beach, Lake Ontario) through a variety of seasons. There will also be paintings of Georgian Bay (Killarney Provincial Park) and Lake McGinnis (Petroglyphs Provincial Park).

You will also have the opportunity to pre-order the 2019 calendar “Canada: The Provinces and Territories.” A collection of matted prints will be available from past shows, along with a variety of gift cards and (new) buttons!

You can follow our event page on Facebook: Home. We post regular updates there!

Or find us on Instagram @BurkeUntitled and @Jennifer.Trefiak to follow our works in progress.

SECOND SELF: TWO PERSPECTIVES ON THE CANADIAN LANDSCAPE

This collection of Canadian Landscapes is on display at the Trent Hills Public Library in Campbellford until August 15th. Drop-in to view it anytime before then!

This is a variety of our older work with newer work (all acrylics), combined to create a unique collection of contemporary art. If you are a lover of bold colour and Canadian Landscape this show is for you!

My work includes paintings of the Rocky Mountains (2015-2018), Drumheller’s Badlands, the Prairies and the Northern Territories are examples of what you will find here.

Jennifer Trefiak emphasized Northern Lights and the bright skies in her work.
